MTV SONGS OF HUMANITY

On 21 March, Human Rights Day, MTV Base wanted to honour South Africa’s greatest heroes, Nelson Mandela, Steve Biko and Helen Suzman. We did this by composing three unique songs, created by drawing their faces with midi notes.  The musical pieces were then turned into online films, together with the midi scores for other musicians to create their own version so that they too could honor their heroes.
